We have harvested beans, tomatoes, salad, courgettes, raspberries, strawberries and more. It has been wonderful to watch everything grow and flourish, and delicious to eat it too. We have been planting more salad while the weather is still warm and shall do some more planting for over the winter. We have also been busy taking cuttings, preparing for next year.
Click here for our newsletter for more news. We shall meet on the first Wednesday of the month as usual, and also on the fourth Wednesday 23 October, 10.30am – 12noon, followed by a well-deserved cup of tea. We shall be planning for next year at this session. Come and join in or call in any time to sit in the garden and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere now the weather is warmer.
We sold plants and produce at the Mortlake Fair on the Brewery playing field last week – a great success. Our tomatoes, courgettes and strawberries came in for particular praise. We also had some delicious onions and fragrant garlic. A great afternoon.
We are grateful to the Richmond Borough Civic Pride Fund for awarding us a grant to renew the raised beds and to the Mortlake with East Sheen Society for contributing to improvements and equipment.
The garden is open every day during daylight hours.
