Our garden has flourished over the summer. The group has been working hard, digging, sowing, planting, pruning and watering during the dry months. The great work paid off and we were able to harvest a great variety of tasty fruit and vegetables, including strawberries, raspberries, courgettes, radishes, turnips, beetroots, beans and tomatoes. We had a great display for sale at Mortlake Community Fair in June.
Our newsletter for September sets out the tasks for this month, do call in and see how the plants are growing, every day sees changes.
We meet to garden on the first and third Wednesday of each month, 10.30am – 12noon followed by a well-deserved cup of tea. Come and join in or call in any time to sit in the garden and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
We are grateful to the Richmond Borough Civic Pride Fund for awarding us a grant to renew the raised beds and to the Mortlake with East Sheen Society for contributing to improvements and equipment.
The garden is open every day during daylight hours.
