Spring is here and the new beds are coming to life. Garlic and onions are sprouting, beetroot and broad beans should appear soon. Come and see what’s been planted and how it is growing. Inevitably the weeds are growing too so they need some management.
Our newsletter for July sets out the tasks for this month, do call in and see how the plants are growing, every day sees changes.
We had a very successful afternoon at the Mortlake Fair on Saturday 23 June. People went home laden with wonderful plants that we had grown in the garden.
We are still meeting on the first and third WEdnesday of each month, 10.30am — 12noon followed by a well-deserved cup of tea. Come to our next session or call in any time to sit in the garden and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
We are grateful to the Richmond Borough Civic Pride Fund for awarding us a grant to renew the raised beds and to the Mortlake with East Sheen Society for contributing to improvements and equipment.
The garden is open every day during daylight hours.
